Known for his YouTube channel SmarterEveryDay, where he explores scientific phenomena through captivating experiments. With a background in engineering, he is dedicated to making science accessible to a broad audience.

Best known for her engaging YouTube channel, Answer in Progress, where complex topics are broken down with clarity and wit. She has extensive experience in science communication and education, making science accessible to a broad audience.

Elaine Sevier
Stephon Alexander
Co-founder of IMI and president of Research Theory, a nonprofit focused on creativity and innovation through the science of scientists. She holds a PhD in neuroscience from Harvard and completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford.
Theoretical physicist, musician, and author who explores connections between cosmology, particle physics, and quantum gravity. A professor at Brown University and president of the National Society of Black Physicists, he’s also a jazz musician and author of The Jazz of Physics, which links music and physics.
What are we doing?
The media landscape has completely changed over the last 15 years. People tune in to YouTube and podcasts for entertainment, education, and news more than any other source. Without the gatekeepers of traditional media, who decides what we watch and what our children watch? Should we let the YouTube and TikTok algorithms dictate our fates? Or can we take control of our media landscape and put our thumb on the scale for thoughtful, respectful, and inspiring work?
